While I was out west, a few friends of mine and I decided to start a package exchange, which ended up being a grand idea! One was located in the south and one northeast so we were able to exchange little treasures from different parts of the US. It was so exciting to receive a package full of little items that you normally wouldn’t purchase for yourself.
Vintage dresses, vintage Missoni-like sheets, vintage Lennon sunshades, adorable beetle, seashell and giraffe charms, and a handmade braided hair band traveled from NYC to make me a happier gal.
From NOLA, I received vintage shimmering striped pants, my beloved Macarons baking book, artsy magnets, floral coffee mug and a handmade origami swan.
From LA, they received lace shorts, vintage and handmade necklaces from Melrose Trading Post, vintage snake belt, handmade bracelets by moi, and an inspirational read.
Sending out the next package today!
If you have a few friends around the US, you should start your own package exchange. Just set a spending limit and start picking out adorable little items to send. You can start at Lafayette Arts & Fleas if you live in the Lafayette area.
Dreaming of unexplainable peace and joy,
