A few of these are my favorites from the holidays and of what’s happening these days.

3. Elf look.
4. How adorable is that cutie in his knitted panda hat?!
5. Grey, brown and tree trims..a neutral holiday.
6. NYC studios have some of the most gorgeous views.
7. A little rock & roll a few weeks ago when Underoath and As Cities Burn came to town
8. Found my dress!!! Ahhhh!!! I want to lounge in it all day!
9. Missing these fluffy guys and loving fluffy pompoms these days.
10. Still photography is harder than it looks.

Dreaming of another snow day,

December 3rd, 2012

November has come and gone so very quickly. Here are some Instagram recaps of this wonderful month.

1 & 2. Hurricanes followed me to New York. Thankfully we only lost internet and heat for a few hours. My commute route was changed exposing me to new art on my walks to work.
3 &4. Right before the storm we paid tribute to this year’s best flick, Moonrise Kingdom, by dressing in character for October’s holiday. If you haven’t seen this beautifully colored film shame on you. My character, The Narrator played by Bob Balaban, can be seen in these clips.
5&6. For my day of birth we were blessed with my first ever snow storm!! So so gorgeous!
7&8. Birthday clips.
9-12. The holidays are upon us… christmas tree lots on side walks smelling of lovely pine, holiday craft fairs out the wazoo, and the #1 holiday parade. Ahhh I love it!

The holiday season is magical in this city…iceskating rings, massive christmas trees, dancing carolers.  I am so blessed to be able to experience it.

Dreaming of more holiday treats,

Twila

Instapics: Autumn

November 10th, 2012

Even though winter is more than a month away it feels like we are in the midst of it. Of course this is a southern girl talking who has never really experienced a winter. Louisiana gets below freezing temperatures maybe a few times each winter, emphasis on the MAYBE. It has snowed in my hometown twice in my lifetime the flurries disappearing as soon as it touches the ground. So you can imagine my excitement and shock of this autumn weather.

Below are those instapics celebrating this “fall” season. If you are on Instagram follow me here! If you are not, umm why?! It’s the best social media out there tied with Pinterest.

1. local new york farmer’s market autumn veggies begging to be cooked into a warming soup.
2. we were able to watch an extremely close Louisiana Tech game leaving us excited during the action but aggravated at the bad calls in the end.
3. bri and i touring the closed corn maze.
4. us just hanging
5 and 6. a few of us girls had a pumpkin carving party when visiting back home. i decided to carve hearts in mine not sure if it was too many Once Upon a Time episodes or just my laziness kicking in which led to this decision.
7. i was able to meet my new nephew and found out that he is not too found of me showing it by crying every time I picked him up.
8. i did quite a bit of sewing when visiting which paid off with the result of a gorgeous wedding gown (photos to come!)
9. nyc in the evening.
10, 11 & 12. fall dressings

Dreaming of my pumpkin icecream and ginger bread cookie topping that is begging to be eaten,

8. Relaxing on the Gossip Girl set…look for us on the upcoming season!
9. Cajun gumbo for Saints games.
10 and 11. Loving my styling job!
12. A shot of the pattern making going on in the Garment District for New York Fashion Week.

Hey hey hey!! Ahh, these Instagrams make summer look beautiful..relaxing, colorful and full of adventure, which it is.

Left to right:
1. Central Park on a not so hot sunday fun day
2. Just another visit to Smorgasburg
3. Whoot whoot! Jack White and Alabama Shakes. This is probably the best view I had all night, which was captured by a zoom and a jump. Once again I state, “Concerts with general admission were not made with short ppl in mind.”
4. Rooftop view of the Empire State Building from the fabulous 230-Fifth
5. Chocolate and pecan dipped frozen bananas…want to make some now!
6. My own super easy DIY jewelry hanging station.
7. NYC welcoming me back with a full circle rainbow…seriously one of the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen!
8. Two sweet puppies that I miss tremendously. I can’t even look at this photo and now have tears. Ugh I want them here in NY!
9. Beach days…and yes I wore boots to the beach. I find them to be more comfortable than flip flops.
10. Top of  Rock view of the city. Makes Manhattan appear smaller than its actually size.
11. A quote that I’m liking right now.
12. Happy Independence Day!

Dreaming of ice cold fruit,

Twila
