Last week was rough but I’m dealing with it. The holidays coming way too fast is making me a little sad as well. Fall and winter are my favorite time of year and after Christmas I feel like it is all over and I have to wait another 8 months for the warm fuzzy feelings that this time of year brings…boo.
Even though things have set my week back, these holiday festivities brought a little cheer.
Christmas caroling always brings a little extra cheer to this season. It does feel awkward singing in shopping malls and hoping certain people don’t see you but it also is very awesome to see some of the viewers enjoying our lovely tunes.
Of course a sweater party was in order…

..and a little bit of eggnog!
TheĀ Amelie G Magazine Winter Issue party at the Eiffel Society where Ann and I accidentally wore the same shirt…no one noticed ha.
Emily and I took a break from the long hours on “Battleship” to hang with the not so like us Chimes crew.

I have a few more parties ahead of me so hopefully the holidays get better.

My hiatus is due to finishing up a pretty dress and a quick trip to the city that never sleeps. NYC was cold and beautiful. We started off our weekend with a trip to Time Square and Radio City Music Hall to watch the best show I have ever seen….the Rockettes! We were lucky enough to find front row tickets for a reasonable price. If you aren’t already in the Holiday mood these little dancers will have you in it before you leave.
Yes, pumpkin spiced latte played a major role in our chilly but snowless weekend.
A small girl’s Christmas choir started off the evening at Radio City.
Seeing the Rockettes made me want to enroll in dancing courses immediately..I played sports and drums as a child instead of taking dancing…boo.

We were very front row..our feet touched the stage!
The night ended with a trip to Rockefeller Center to view the huge Christmas tree. I have tons more photos of our weekend getaway but I have to finish up my gorgeous gown for tomorrow night’s party. Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Busy, busy, busy is what I have been. My full time crafting position has turned into a part time jeweler and music teacher. I am helping out a local jewelry shop for the holidays. They carry the most amazing antique rings. All day I try to decide which one I want when I finally decide to tie that knot.
All this busy-ness has made the holidays pass by so fast. I can’t believe it is only 12 days till Christmas!! Thank God for etsy.com and other sweet online stores. I got most of my Christmas shopping done this weekend.
With all this rush, I have not had much time to really enjoy it. But my temporary job as a music teacher has allowed me to enjoy the Christmas season. I, along with a preschool choir (with a few older musically talented children), performed at a live nativity play. It was adorable…. their Christmas tree and star costumes make me smile….
The young Christmas tree in the middle was belting out her tunes…
