Packing, packing and more packing is all I have been doing lately and boy is it tiring. Along with all this packing comes the daunting task of sorting and getting rid of things. This is liberating at times but it is usually quite stressful because of my problem of not wanting to let go. The item of clothing could have sat in my closet for up to five years but I still find it hard to throw into the giveaway pile. Maybe it’s because the day I drop it off at the Goodwill I will want to restyle it into my way stuffed wardrobe or may want to use it as a DIY, which has happened often lately. Maybe it’s because I think of the memories I have had in those clothes…where I wore it and who I was with. Ahhh! I may have hoarder tendencies! I will not be a hoarder! I will not be a hoarder! I am overcoming it right now…

Yesterday was a relaxing day so decided to hang in the tshirt I had been wearing for a few days (yes, sometimes I do that). Just knotted it up, added a few necklaces and a bright blue maxi. This is a bit different than my normal wear (I rarely wear graphic tees or black) but decided to go with my new desire to dress more comfortable and boy like.

I’m back! Again, sorry about the hiatus.

I don’t usually share many personal matters on this blog but I feel like we are taken through situations in life to help others who will go through them later. So after saying that, I want to say that these past few months have been very difficult for me. I know that many people have far more greater problems than mine but I want to leave a few words of encouragement for those facing something similar. Many times it has been hard to focus on anything else but my problems. I had to continuously remind myself to focus on the good things going for me and cherish them….my close friends, family, passions and God.  If you find yourself going through a difficult time (anything difficult), keep your spirits high and remember that God does not take us through anything we can not handle (1 Corinthians 10:13) and that all things work together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). I know that there will be more difficult days, but I can honestly say that I have learned a whole lot through this process and I am excited about what lies ahead in every aspect of my life.

Life is a beautiful adventure!

Hello! Long time no see. Im preparing for the 2nd Lafayette Arts & Fleas at Artwalk this Saturday and a shoot on Sunday. So I have been sewing and crafting all week. I might take a break to watch a few local short films at the Acadiana Center for the Arts tonight.

Trying milkmaid braids has been on my to do list for a while but I am not too fond of how the back usually looks, so decided to do a different version with a messy bun in the back. I braided in a scarf a few days ago and may do a little tutorial soon.
