Skirted Butterflies

December 1st, 2011

With the Thanksgiving holiday  just passing, I am sure the message of being thankful  has been in all of our minds. This is definitely a lesson I have been learning this past year. Many times we don’t appreciate what we have and we just continue to look at what we want and what we think we need. I have definitely been stuck in this mindset for the last few years forgetting to be thankful for the many things I have been blessed with and the amazing people that are in my life.

Recognizing the good things in my life and showing my gratefulness for them has truly changed my attitude. I find my days are more pleasant and peaceful. Oprah said it pretty good, ” Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” (Yes, I just quoted Oprah)

Graphic Tees

October 27th, 2011

Yesterday was a relaxing day so decided to hang in the tshirt I had been wearing for a few days (yes, sometimes I do that). Just knotted it up, added a few necklaces and a bright blue maxi. This is a bit different than my normal wear (I rarely wear graphic tees or black) but decided to go with my new desire to dress more comfortable and boy like.

Unplanned we decided to attend a local fashion show showcasing Genterie Supply Co. which inspired me to continue my boyish stage.  Tons of cozy oversized boy sweaters and plaid buttons downs please?!

Dreaming of a cozy sweater to wear camping this weekend,
