Here is the DIY to my glittered handbag. I saw a few tutorials of glittered items on a few blogs but they used a different method of loading the item with glue then pouring the glitter on top. With that method the glitter will fall off when rubbed against and will get all over everything which is never any fun and you will also eventually have to reapply the glitter. But using this method of mod podge mixed with the sparkly substance will keep your clothes and your surroundings glitter speck free.

This DIY started off as glittered boots inspired by these Miu Miu to die for pair. Even that sale price is not in my budget…so off to the craft store I went to make my own version and this what came of it!

items needed: mod podge, glitter, paint brush, cup or bowl for mixing, item to be glittered
1. mix glitter and mod podge half of each in a bowl or cup. 2. paint onto boots, wait for glittered layer to dry (aprox. 15-20 min.) to apply second layer. if you are impatient like me find another item, a handbag, to paint in between. 3. wear your glitzy item…preferably not together.
